On an unrelated issue, is anyone else weirded out by Spike's second season accent? I know it's supposed to be English, but it sounds sort of Transylvanian to me.

I can only think that when the monks retconned Dawn, they retconned Hank to be an uncaring father. I really don't think that Almanzo would behave so badly.

Apparently the Monks' retcon included lovely little things like Buffy's parents committing her to an insane asylum, so making Hank into an uncaring absentee father isn't out of the question.
