I look more rad than Lutheranism

Grad Day was such a letdown for me. Giant snake? That's all you got? Fuck that - so lame.

Graduation Day was more than the giant snake, though. Buffy and Angel and the bite orgasm. Faith and the Mayor. Faith and Buffy. Oz and Willow having The Sex. The whole student body fighting together. Buffy quitting the Council.

Yes, snake cheesy. But that's not even what I think of when I think of Graduation Day.

Plus the whole Summers blood thing bugged me quite a bit. Worst asspull ever.

Oh, yeah. That too. Out of the fucking blue.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Word.

The student rising up and making sacrifices, that last shot of them taking a moment, the beginnings of the end, Angel moving on...

The Big Snake was cheesy, but the heart was good and true.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I didn't even think the big snake was all that cheesy. Contrast with the one from Season 5.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Graduation Day was Chosen, except with less magic and more flamethrowers. Buffy Shares The Fight.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I would actually argue with the "less magic" bit of that, though I understand the sense in which you mean it. One of the problems I have with Chosen is that it dropped the metaphor in the end. The fight that the Slayers-not-in-Sunnydale were all in the girl power fight, not the fight-demonic-evil-that-often-symbolizes-girl-power fight, which was one of the central bits of the series. It made me sad that it got dropped at the end.

Take your fingers off it, don't you dare touch it, you know it don't belong to you, to you...

Riley's plastic stake=symbol of the fact that Riley and Buffy's love isn't real. Or it might just be the lesbian thing, I actually did spit water on my pet Minotaur Roscoe.

Ita-I'm with you on the Amanda thing...Vi? Rona? What the hell?

brillig

You know, it would have been bizarrely cool if Buffy's jump in "The Gift" hadn't worked and Dawn had to jump anyway, because sometimes you can make all the sacrifices you want, and it's still not going to be enough.

'And on that tragic day, an era came to its inevitable end.' That's all there is.

Proportion question: Who's shorter, Oz or Jonathan?

as Oz is about an inch shorter than Willow, who's maybe two inches taller than Buffy, who towers over Jonathan...

Nobody

as Oz is about an inch shorter than Willow, who's maybe two inches taller than Buffy, who towers over Jonathan...

...they'll all next work together in a remake of Gulliver's Travels.
