Simon: Captain's a good fighter, he must know how to handle a sword. Zoe: I think he knows which end to hold.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

That's cause you're smart n' stuff, Victor. And cause it's a good article.

That Kita Angel list was awesome {sob}. Where's yours of Buffy, Plei? Did skim past a link?

here

Nobody

I loved Kita's Angel.

I have a horrible desire to filk My Baby Does the Hanky-Panky for an Angel essay, so I just won't.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Plei, other people beat me to it, but thanks again for the link, and the other recs. I read all four of them (yours included) last night, and liked them all a lot.

Don't make me come down there!

Plei, can you give me a link to the "My Angelus" one? I can't seem to find it. My Angel and My Buffy made me so teary. *sniff*

All is well that ends in pizza.

{{{{{{{Shrift and R**** & helpers}}}}}}}

Going over the script...

GILES: "Andrew, things are getting very dire around here, and we've got more important things to worry about than -- Ooh! Jaffa Cakes!"

-----

BUFFY: "Kills strong bodies three ways."

-----

ANYA: "They're all gonna look like mortally wounded Easter baskets."

-----

ANYA: "Giles knows his single-malt antiseptics."

-----

ANYA: "And I could use a cookie. But I'm not making reckless wishes."

Ah Anya...not making reckless wishes. Hehehe...

-----

XANDER: "I'm still optimistic! You're just thrown off by this gritty looking eyepatch."

-----

XANDER: "If you die I'll just bring you back to life." (beat) "That's what I do."

-----

BUFFY: "You're a dope, and a bonehead, and, and you're shirty."
SPIKE: "Have you gone completely Carrot-top?"

-----

SPIKE: "We'll go be heroes."

-----

ANYA:"Wanna rob?"
ANDREW: "Let's rob!"

Our wings are not tired.

Okay the thing about JM's hair: it wasn't even remotely cool to have a big ol' fro like that when he was in high school.

JM had grown his hair specifically to do Godspell the following summer. It cost him his job and other roles, but he got the Godspell gig. Yes, I am a font of useless knowledge.

Oh my, I have read the past 700 posts here today to catch up prior to the last episode. I did a lot of nodding in agreement and hissing with disapproval. Doesn't matter much to which posts those responses were directed.

I am currently debating with myself about the early option of Tuesday's episode. Do I watch the very moment I download or put it off as long as possible. When I watch it will be over. Sigh.

Laura, that is truly useless knowledge to have. I salute you. *g*

It's a remora, dimwit.

While Anya and Andrew were rummaging around on the dark shelves, it felt like they were setting up a schmuck bait moment, and I wondered if they were going to start trimming off characters already.

Caleb found out about the axe being only for the slayer seemingly before he went to Sunnydale, since the survivor had had time to clean up the carnage, else one would think Spike would have smelled all the corpses. It seemed more that he found out about it there, then went to Sunnydale to dig it up. Maybe he did mean to try to use it himself thinking that non-slayers just had to use a mechanical method of extraction. But it didn't seem like Caleb needed the axe. He was already super-strong, fought without weapons, and had a big army. Maybe he did mean to unearth it so that he could destroy it, but they didn't seem to being playing that way, and since the slayer seemed to know nothing about it, he'd have been better off just leaving it in the rock and posting a Bringer to keep watch in case someone got close.

Always Anti-fascist!

About the people fleeing and how it's not motivated, believe it or not, I think about "Ghostbusters". Cause there's a quote in it, about "(something), plagues of locusts, dogs kissing cats, total Armageddon!" That's what I thought the first would bring, cause it's Sunnydale...it would have to be extra weird to make Sunnyhell residents leave. Sorry for not remembering the quote...it's buried with other 80s minutia.
