The reruns and reruns of reruns -- if the WB is making this a national move, than I can see it as a way to draw more viewership for the upcoming S5 Angel. It makes sense, insofar as that Angel's backstory didn't take place "off camera." You've got 3 seasons of Buffy to work as reference. I like the move, good product placement.

I refuse to accept that as canon. As far as I'm concerned, Miss Kitty Fantastico jumped on the crossbow and shot a lamp. She later sensed the first evil and left town just like everyone else. So she's fine and happy and living in... Los Angeles. Yes... and she'll be turning up on Angel any day now.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
