We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

At any rate, I know they didn't write the chemistry into Hush; I remember reading either Joss or Marti say it surprised them when they saw it on film.

It's very much there. I remember clearly that at the moment when they clasped hands and slammed that vending machine across the room, all 3 of us watching (all gay) simultaneously exclaimed.

If Tara/Willow hadn't happened I don't think we would have expected it, IYKWIM.

I disagree, see above. Some of us expected it, anyway.

And I don't think it's slacking off. I can go three years between punches and look better than her. And if I didn't? Someone would yell at me and make me do it right.

As someone who had a 3 yr break from karate and went back, yes.

Chicks and fighting hits (predictably) close to home, so I admit I have made up my own rationale for this which has no basis in any fact to which I've been made privy -- she just didn't care any more, and no one dared call her on it..

t stands well behind ita and nods vigorously

I feel pretty confident she emerged completely unscathed.

Damn. That's just harsh.

But pretty spot on. I actually came into this thread just to say WROD on this whole issue. Can't get off it. I admit that having Buffy be skinny (not THAT skinny) and harmless looking is part of the *point* but all she'd have gotten putting supernatural strength behind her OMWF punches was a broken wrist.

It's a little thing, but I can't stand it when girls can't punch. ita's right (duh), you can teach some very basic things in about 5 minutes. Why, just last week I taught my brother's girlfriend how to punch. I don't think he appreciated it as much as she did...

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Look out it's a trick! The first lesson in punching is don't volunteer to be a punching bag.

I think I should warn everyone that offering to teach me to fight means taking your life into your hands, and possibly my life too.

I needed new glasses after I took volleyball in 9th-grade gym, because I got hit in the head so often. Coordination: not my strong point.

t looks hurt

I would nevah...

I'm a total klutz. And, like ita, I bruise very easily. Once a friend and I spent a 20-min car ride punching each other in the thigh. The next day I had a bruise the size of a grapefruit. She had nothing.
