I think Cordy, in her pre-Xander days, was more likely a tease, as opposed to being sexually experienced. I doubt her first demon pregnancy (there's a phrase you don't use every day) was her first sexual experience, but I don't think it's clear she had sex in high school.

I could see Cordy, in some post-Xander funk maybe going off and losing it to some guy from the opposing school's football team, having a miserable time, and then not having sex again until she hit L.A., where she didn't manage to have sex more than occasionally until Groo.

I totally agree with ita in this case. It enhances the tragedy that they never consummated their relationship. Furhter enhncing the tragedy is Giles' revelation that Jenny was the first person who had died that he loved (I think he meant in the "adult relationship" context here, but that might imply that his parents are still alive, too).

On the way upthread subject of whether Buffy & Spike kicked it in "Chosen", two excerpts from the script (I posted some of this on PF, so pardon my repetition):

INT. SUMMERS' HOME - BASEMENT - NIGHT

It is later, and Buffy is wrapped in Spike's arms, facing away from him. They both wear enough to indicate they did not get sweaty. Spike sleeps, but Buffy cannot. She looks at his hand, resting on the bed in front of her. Runs her hand along it.

(I know this is not where we thought the Sex was, but note the other scene:)

INT. SUMMERS' HOME - BASEMENT - NIGHT

Spike sits, shirted this time, on the bed. He looks at the amulet, thinking.

He stands as Buffy comes down the stairs. They stand on opposite sides of the room, looking at each other.

I think it's totally suggested that they did have lovey sex in the second scene, both by the script and by the direction (Fade to Black.)

This is why I loved "The Zeppo." Sheerly for the fact that all of the stuff that was cliche in that season was more or less mocked by itself in that ep. The scene where Xander walks in on B/A having one of their infamous "I'm not going to let you die!!!!!" speeches was just hilarious. Poor Xander. So much potential so little play.

The WB Network's spinoff of its hit dramedy "Gilmore Girls" is not going forward. The network and sibling producing studio Warner Bros. TV have decided to pull the plug on the project, which had received a six-episode midseason order. The series, created by "Gilmore Girls" creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, who executive produced it with her husband, Daniel Palladino, was to center on "Gilmore Girls' " Jess Marino (Milo Ventimiglia), who goes to live with his estranged father (Rob Estes) in Venice, Calif.

OK, not to scare anyone (but I don't know how else to ask this), but the fact that they had a six episode order that was bailed on doesn't mean they could, say, cancel Angel over the summer? I mean I know ANYTHING is possible, but it's not likely, right?

Uhm, Ken, that's not particularly likely at all. There's a world of difference between a show that hasn't even started production and one that's been around awhile, even if it was on the bubble for a bit. If they were going to do it, they'd have done it in May, not now.

OK, that's what I figured, but when the talk is about "not being able to afford things" these days I figure all bets are off. The bubble thing was much on my mind. I'm sure you're right, though - if they weren't going to do it in May, why now.

Ken--the "affording" talk is like "creative differences" --it isn't the real reason at all. It takes a lot to conceive and get a show off the ground and sometimes it's clear they aren't working for whatever reason (bad concept, inexperienced show-runner, lack of focus, whatever) and they get scrapped early.

Or a bad pilot would kill a show, I'm sure, if they got that far. No, I realize now I was jumping at shadows here. Plus, I posted just after I got home after having some tasty adult bevarages along the way, so I was definitely overreacting to what I was reading.
