Aren't they something. They're like butterflies, or little pieces of wrapping paper blowing around.

Let me just say that popularity with people on public transportation does not equal literary respect. --Jesse

But they were in high school. A lot of high schoolers do major "heavy petting" but don't go all the way. It seemed reasonable to me.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Proabbly because people don't really remember it, so it's easy to put it there. I know that's why I did it.

I put S6 in last, because I still hate the direction it took, but I think the reason S1 ended up there overall instead of, say, S6 or S7 is that the later seasons have vocal defenders to balance it out, while I've never heard of anyone who thinks S1 is the Best Evah.

(IIRC, I voted S2, S3, S4, S5, S7, S1, S6. S7 jumped ahead of S1 by going out with a bang.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

And I think Giles and Jenny were grown-ups, with a grown-up relationship -- which yes, would have included The Sex at some point

I very much got the impression they were rounding in on that. And I don't think the grown-up and The Sex are mutually dependent.

It wouldn't surprise me if Xander was doing things with the promises of future reward(s) that, if they were delivered upon, were delivered infrequently. Given that it's Queen C we're talking about.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I've never heard of anyone who thinks S1 is the Best Evah.

I think Matt the Bruins Fan is in this camp.

Yeah, I realized after posting that I probably shouldn't have said "never." Because there's always a counterexample. You'd think I'd learned that after almost four years of Married Arguments, if nothing else...

All is well that ends in pizza.

Their kind of adult relationship would have included The Sex.

ETA: I ment that in the Rupert/Jenny one, the sex was going to be part of the adult relationship.

At some point, yes. But I don't think they were there yet before she died.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I was just reading a fic that mentioned Spike and Andrew being sent off to find whatever it was they were looking for, and it said they'd gone to Gilroy. Is that from the show? Because I'd hate to think I'd missed snerking at sending a vampire to Gilroy.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

And isn't that fun? Sighhh

The part that struck me false, however, was that Cordelia wasn't a virgin yet, was she? In my experience, once people start "doing it" they rarely stop without some reason.

Season 1 is my favorite too. t Goes and sits with Matt
