Too bad I wasn't a Buffista then - what a lost taunting opportunity!

That was pre-Buffista for me but, at the Bronze, there was no taunting. It was more an outpouring of rage and a frenzied rush to organize a massive tape tree.

*sniff* As much as it sucked, it was a really cool time. And, a piece of television history.

Thanks for all the fish.

I would have participated in a tape tree. Of course, I would have taunted first...

I can't even.

It's true, we got it early, too. Too bad I wasn't a Buffista then - what >a lost taunting opportunity!

I sincerely made tape offers on the boards, with a warm inside glow.

Just be glad you weren't in Montreal, where you didn't get it until >Saturday - and then only if you had cable.

I hear that. The West had to wait for YTV as well. I remember rumours of "mystery edits"

Thanks for all the fish.

I've watched it on YTV before, I don't think they edited.

No other candidate is asking the hard questions, like "Did geophysicists assassinate Jim Henson?" or "Why is there hydrogen in America's water supply?" --defective yeti

The A&E biography of the show gave Columbine about as much time as all of season five. It was too much.

I don't think they edited.

They edited before they fed it. I can't remember all of the edits but I know they cut Xander's lines at the end about blowing up the school being the best day ever.

Thanks for all the fish.

Goodness? Really?

(I was just thinking generally, didn't realise that it had been done specifically for GD)

Yep. They made Joss rework some stuff. He also had to take out some shots of the school exploding. Which was rather unfortunate because the effects guys had worked so hard and done such a great job.

I can't even.

Thanks for the warm welcome folks, time for me to hit the hay.

Perhaps I'll be able to get some work done tomorrow instead of mourning the show all day. If not, well, I tried, but it would kinda suck to lose a job over a wrapped show, no?

G'night.

My depression lifted two days after I saw the finale, but I was really surprised that it had that effect on me at all. I can't usually attribute my moods to events in my daily life.

It's really cool to be able to post in the Buffy threads after spending all season on my own. I think I came a little closer to understanding "Show, don't tell" from the discussion before. It's easy to say, but hard to separate from "I didn't believe it, so they must have only told it." I came across a really neat prediction from Julie.

I want Buffy's legacy to be that no one girl will ever have to deal with the isolation and separation that she had to face. If that means there's no slayer, I'm okay with that. Because, I think, the price was always too high.

I am so chuffed, on board, behind, in love with the slayer empowerment thing. It's absolutely the perfect wrapup to the myth and to the struggle of Buffy. That's just why.
