May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I haven't read a Smallville recap in forever, but I adore Omar. He's very in tune with my "realism" about the series. Jessica recapped X-Files way after it had failed her, and with very little bitterness. It's possible.

I don't want to have to hate it too to appreciate the writing.

"God...my brilliance is now becoming a bit of a burden...get back to me." Dr. Cox - Scrubs

Does anyone else find it odd or at least ironic that you can buy the Urn of Osiris on Ebay now?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Wow. Nice to hear that it's not just me and amyth on the twop bile front. Omar does seem to have a good handle on the affectionate mocking thing.

I mean, when the recaps for Buffy are way harsher than they are for Smallville, it indicates a problem for me.

At this point, our very own MattTBF is my One True Recapper. Smart, succinct, and piss yer pants funny.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

It's like rain on your wedding day, Gleebo!

It's no use. The urn's defiled. It's gone. Nothing, it was all for nothing. Buffy's gone. She's really gone.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Maybe the Buffy ones have gotten more extreme, but the Angel recaps were much worse than the Buffy ones for quite a while.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Wonder what happened to the orb of thessula (sp?)?

Someone's probably using it as a paperweight.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

The only TWOP recaps I read on a regular basis are the ones for CSI (the recapper loves the show, and unless the episode is just plain wonky, the snark is more affectionate than bilious and the recaps read like genuine critiques) and Trading Spaces.

I'm assuming that Ganya refers to the Giles/Anya pairing?

I'm glad that the Phoenix isn't particularly pro or anti any 'ship (with the exception of radical TheirLoveIsSoPure! schmoopiness which demonizes--and not in the good way--any characters who threaten that One True Ship).

Up with the sun

I can only read TWoP if it's a show I don't actually care about, like Charmed, otherwise, the bile (and the length! by the time I've read 12 pages, I could just as well have watched the show!) just irritate me.

I think they know snark is funny, and it's easier to write than beng genuinely pleased. I mean, how often can you say "Wow" and not sound like a pathetic fangirl?
