Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I like to think Buffy's definition of love was becoming a little more narrow with regard to Spike, they just ran out of time. My 'ship and I'll sail it into the sunset if you don't mind.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

don't forget about giles, too. he was the first to lose a love.

He was one of the four: Giles, Willow, Xander, and Buffy.

I'm blaming that one on severely low blood sugar.

"She doesn't have a deck. She has a 3."

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm blaming that one on severely low blood sugar.

Perfectly acceptable.

The evil is this way?

You could just claim that you counted Willow twice - Once for Good-Red-Haired!Willow and once for Evil-Dark-Haired!Willow.

Narrator - don't do maths in front of the Buffistas.

The evil is this way?

It frightens them?

"I'm a mouse with a piece of string, Bear. The possibilities are endless." - Tutter

You know, the First called Spike Buffy's "dead lover." IJS.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, Parker was her lover too.

Ooh! Maybe he's dead!

Ooh! Maybe he's dead!

Another happy tidbit. Yes, I am definitely fanwanking that Parker didn't know enough to get out of Sunnydale and got erm... purified by Spike's scrubbing bubbles.

It frightens them?

No. They're not like Bronzers. Some of them can even do math(s). Our math(s) however, might startle them.

You know, the First called Spike Buffy's "dead lover." IJS.

Oh, he was her lover, but was he her love? She was his love. To date, I've only been really shown that Angel was (at one time) her love. I don't think Riley was. I don't think Spike was. Had he survived, I don't know what would have happened.

Had he survived, I don't know what would have happened.

I think this is why the end contented me so.

Because really? There's only new stuff to learn. All the old stuff was dealt with, or satisfied. Enough, anyway.

I was thinking about this this morning. I know that none of our guys (for this example, thinking those standing on the precipice looking back on sunnydale*) needs to work through their relationship(s) anymore. There's nothing unresolved there.

They'll be there, or not, for each other. But they're all ready for new (and shiny) things.

I think that's why I don't need to see how that plays out.

(And in typing that I just realised how very much a dale it now is. Extreme dale at that.)
