I walk. I talk. I shop, I sneeze. I'm gonna be a fireman when the floods roll back. There's trees in the desert since you moved out. And I don't sleep on a bed of bones.

"You got twelve, and they got twelve. The old ladies are just as good as you are." -Dr. Einstein

Ultimately I felt short changed on Willow, Xander and Giles.

I understand that, but still many classic scenes with them I wouldn't have missed for the world (Willow and Giles in England; Xander with Dawn, Willow as Warren, Willow and Xander arguing with Buffy in Selfless, Giles squeaky shoe story, everything in Chosen, etc. etc.). The season was not perfect-but I'm very glad to have had it. And I'll miss all the adventures we won't see.

5) I'd have paid good money to have had just one last scene before the Grr Argh!:A man carrying a backpack stands at the lip of the Sunnydale Crater. He has obviously walked a long way to get here and now facing the desolation he is practically dumbfounded. His face shows a little confusion and possibly regret. His eyebrow raises - OZ - "Oh."

This IS perfect. And now I'll just assume this is what happened after the closing credits.

Another social casualty...

I must be the only one. I just can't bring myself to be sad that Anya died.

Steph, you're not the only one. Not entirely anyway.

I mean, I'm sorry she's dead. And I'm angry at the way she died. The Anya we end Season 6 with should have had a really gloriously painfully angsty death, only slightly less resonant than death of one of the Core Scoobies would have been. She would have been more mourned by the characters.

The Anya we had for the majority of this season (excluding "Selfless") was little more than bit player (and one I really disliked), and I felt her death was only slightly more emphasized than an average citizen of Sunnydale. I wanted more for her. My issue.

Not got a lot to say...

Thanks. High praise. Hmm, this give me an idea...

"Dear Joss, please find enclosed an idea for something really cool to add to the Season 7 DVD...

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

My son, grumpily heading off to bed:
"Why did Spike have to die instead of Angel?"

BWAH! Pure BOMM (that is Beer instead of Coffee)

For all his big throwing around of the C-word, Angel is so not the type to actually DIE to save the world.

Well he's done it as many times as Spike. Maybe not voluntarily, but...

I adore Pete's take, but I seriously think Oz would have given us another pateneted "Huh." not "Oh." You all may debate that as you will.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I adore Pete's take, but I seriously think Oz would have given us another pateneted "Huh." not "Oh." You all may debate that as you will.

Whoa! I was just going to post that.

I think we need to collect all the fanwanks in one place when we create the ultimate Buffista BtVS guide. Plus Anya-recaps for all of them.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

and I'm already tired of telling my "I got arrested" story and having to explain why it matters what I was watching. And I am happy I can tell it here - where I don't have to explain.

Tina, that's AWFUL. You had to EXPLAIN?

Barbarians!

Hello! I must be going.

The discussion's still going! Great!

I also liked the passing around of Excalibaxe, Victor. It seemed to be the only cutting implement wielded that night that could actually do its job. t /still a little bitter at the Wood thing

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Maybe not voluntarily, but...

See, now that to me is key. Plus he didn't actually die. *Plus* he was the one to start the whole problem in the first place! So it's more like he had to spend time in a really gnarly dentention hall.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Re-watched. Cried with big gulpy sobs when we saw all the Slayers around the world getting the big whammy of power.

And the look on that baseball!girl's face? She KNEW she was going to POUND that ball.

I didn't realize until this viewing what it was that happened with Spike and the Big Gay Amulet. (Sorry, but it was sooooo queeny.) That initial blast of power shot through the top of the Hellmouth cavern, and through the roof of the school building. Spike was, essentially, and aided by mystical mojo shit, channelling sunlight. Which dusted the vamps. WAY cool.

He also said exactly (though not verbatim) what Buffy said before she jumped in The Gift -- "I gotta do this." (Buffy: "This is the work I was meant to do.")

So, I take back my displeasure at Spike saving the world. After all, I didn't bitch when Xander saved the world.

Oh, I love the cookie dough speech. Which may just be My Issues. But it does go so nicely with the Girl Power theme of the episode, too. Slayers don't *need* boys; they just need an axe.
