3) Anya would have died killing Caleb. Vengeance Demon Champion of Women vs The Ultimate Misogynist.
Yes. This is the way she should have died.
And she will never get a proper grave, she's just under the rubble somewhere, left lying in the rubble and it's not fair.
5) I'd have paid good money to have had just one last scene before the Grr Argh!:
A man carrying a backpack stands at the lip of the Sunnydale Crater. He has obviously walked a long way to get here and now facing the desolation he is practically dumbfounded. His face shows a little confusion and possibly regret. His eyebrow raises -
OZ - "Oh."
Jilli! Your hubby just broke me!
OZ - "Oh."
The Husband of the Voice of Reason is brilliant.
I must be the only one. I just can't bring myself to be sad that Anya died.
Okay. Going to re-watch now. Since I watched it with Mom last night, and she's not nearly as invested in it as the average Buffista, I think that kept me from getting more caught up and teary.
Expect me back in 45 minutes, sniffling and babbling about spinoffs.
Anya became my favorite character which is why her death hit me so hard.

I was far more emotional the 2nd viewing. Something about being numb the first time and distracted by the finalness of it all.
No, I'm not sad that Anya died, I felt her arc was done some time ago and she actually could have been killed very early in this season. However, her against Caleb would have been sooooo fitting.
And Cindy, you only now want an Oz spin-off? Even a one-off with him and Faith would make my frikkin year!
btw, I actually typed sin-off but caught it in time.
OZ - "Oh."
This would have been cool.
I loved Anya, but I felt it was the best way to finish her character's story. Xander had no choice but to leave. It is better he remember her fighting than seeing her body. All misty again, but I still feel it was right. She wouldn't like living in Cleveland.
