My new metaphor for massive influx of newbies is The Nile overflowing its banks, spreading it's warm effluvial and fertile mud (stellar new posters) and then retreating back to its banks (drivebys keep driving).

My opinion may be colored by the fact that I'm getting married, going to New Orleans, going to the F2F and my book is coming out this year.
I don't think we'll be in a position to consider a cheaper host any time in the near future, and we can afford what we've got so far, so I'm not worried. If a lot of new people stick around, they'll cough up.

How badly am I brainwormed on this syntax now? Last week I walked outside around lunchtime, fretting just slightly because my work clock and my watch and my computer clock disagreed about whether it was noon or not.
