if the original can't be found, I can poke around for it.
It's in Press, from the original vote, if nowhere else.
Thanks, Sophia. I agreed with what Jesse said upthread,
This actually points up the fact that we need this information to be accessible.
and I thought there was discussion yesterday about updating and posting the Cheesebutt thing. But then I realized that I didn't really know what was in it, exactly.

That's true. i think what I did was write it up in an easy instructional format, rather than in the proposal language.
Are Voting and the Warning Procedure (any menton of either) in the FAQ? Because it seems to me there could be mention of both, along with maybe some history about the yearly kerfluffles.
Losing internet access for two days? Annoying
Paying my Comcast bill? Expensive
Working my ass off for days on end? Exausting
Missing out on three endless days of debate in Bureaucracy? Priceless

Did I skip something important from partner in Bureacracy agreement?
My eyes were really glazing as I just read about 250 posts at once!
Okay, after further reflection, I think what I'm trying to say about social capital is this --
It's not just that there is no fixed value on it, but more importantly that if we tried to put a fixed value on it, by averaging together the relative values of each particular post among all Buffistas, that the actual value of a single unit of social capital would average out to zero, or as close to it as makes no nevermind.
That is just speculation on my part, but there it is.
I'm bugged by the cat-shaving. Because shaved cats can be some fugly animals.
Now I am sad because our very furry cat, Burrell, will quite likely need a haircut this summer in order to avoid killer hairballs, and then I will lose all my social capital with Robin.

I got called on it. If it all happened again? I'd still skewer Jen with less violent, but equally forceful words, and I bet it would have resulted in the same exit.
The upsetting thing, for me, was that I really did adore Jen, and then she said something that made me realize that we couldn't ever be friends at all.
It was a shitty day.
