Hauser: You really think you can solve the problem? Come into Wolfram & Hart and make everything right? Turn night into glorious day? You pathetic little fairy. Angel: I'm not little.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Jesus! Can't you guys let us settle one issue before you fire this up?

The War/Politics thread has never been anything but divisive around here.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

The War/Politics thread has never been anything but divisive around here.

Most things are, babe. Including the conversation that's been happening for the past three days.

And also? I'd like to put my energy into something that could change, not something that never will.

Yeah, that's why I think it's monumentally bad timing to go into another big debate. Everything that goes to a vote causes a lot of friction. There's already friction. More friction? Not the best idea right now.

It's your prerogative, but the timing seems incredibly poor to me.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Thank you, Rafmun, for not asking for a formal warning.

Thank you, too, Shawn.

Good on ya both. (Please note: I'm absolutely sincere here, if the words chosen do not adequately convey my tone.)

And I'm not going anywhere near the huge can o' worms the Empress just opened...

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Sorry to upset you Hec.

But to defend my seconding, not that I should have to, I would say that this heated discussion started in part because of fallout from an extended political discussion in a thread that really didn't need, nor should have really had, a political discussion.

It may get voted down, it may start even more heated discussion (though not in this thread, I would point out), but then it may not get a fourth second - it didn't before, if I remember correctly...

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Where do the local 'istas lists live? Is there a Chicago/Midwest one? What is involved in creating/maintaing one?

aurelia, I don't think there is. If there was, Gus had it. But I do vaguely remember him asking for addresses in Natter....

I dunno. My 'net time looks like it will be curtailed pretty severely, so I'll gladly be on it, but I can't promise swift response.
