I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Katie P. (is this our Katie?)

If you're talking about me, then no. I started reading when y'all were still on TT, but I didn't delurk until Worldcrossing (never registered at TT). I believe the context was a Natter conversation about upstate New York, actually; I don't believe there was guacamole involved, but I don't think I posted again for a while, either.

Other board variants on K-names I can't speak for, of course...

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

David, you may want to take Suela's real name off that list.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

David, you may want to take Suela's real name off that list.

Adjusted.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Katie P isn't Kate P, either. Katie P, um, used rap lyrics for taglines and often added extraneous "e"s to the ends of words.

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Well, she was olde schoole. As we all were, back then.

No, that was Katie who used to get so upset when people would call SMG unhealthily thin.

Eric Musall

Eric! Oh, he was so funny.

Jerry Boyajian

Jerry used to be over in the WX TT forums, but I haven't seen him in ages.

Hey, I remember that conversation!

Why did my brain devote energy to remembering that conversation? Gah.

Snerke, Holli. (Odd what the brain pulls up, though. I'm sure there was more to Katie P than that.)

This is making me long for the days of TT's Book Sluts and Literary Lounge Lizards thread. I posted there before the Buffy thread got to be active, and one summer they all sent me postcards at sleepaway camp.

Sigh. Anyone remember Homer's eighteen-wheeler?

Up with the sun

No, that was Katie who used to get so upset when people would call SMG unhealthily thin.

Is she the one who would then turn around and make fun of Hillary Clinton's calves, and not see the contradiction?

And I miss Alexis Marin.
