Thanks for all the fish.

I think that my second or third post was taunting about getting BtVS on Mondays. I suppose it's good to start as you mean to go on...

I didn't say anything embarrassing.

My first post was about getting arrested on the night of the Buffy series finale. In hindsight - maybe not the best way to introduce yourself to new people.

tina, you should try telling a "getting arrested" story when you're on a first date.

Thanks for all the fish.

Oh, tina, I think that reducing people to undoubtedly hysterical laughter is an excellent way to introduce yourself to new people.

If I only had a brain...

Excellent move on marooning the NAFDA.

Visilurking

I think this was asked already, but would it be feasible for the new maroon NAFDAs in the slugs to also be links to NAFDA in the FAQ? That way a newbie could get the acronym lickety-split plus, hey, suddenly he/she's in the FAQ.

Just a thought that may have already been suggested and discarded, so feel free to ignore.

MaryEllen -- Just caught your invite to view GDII with you in your most recent post. Many thanks--but will be in Arizona that week with Phil and my sister's family. However, I will ask Phil to make the birthday (mine) dinner reservations for AFTER the finale. (Will also be taping the episode at home.) He'll understand--he, too, is a mighty big fan, which is my doing. Even if I don't get any good presents, the "Buffy" finale will be enough.
I'm diggin' all the postings!

The nearly final Buffy deathmatch is going right now. I remember the vote was for closing it after the deathmatches were completed, but what do people think about keeping it availible for people to run more deathmatches? I know there's been some interest.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think Sophie makes excellent points, and I do think that newbies would be better served first reading the site etiquette, rather than the FAQ, before "joining in the fun." People looking to learn their way around a new place may look for a FAQ, but I bet more will click on the one thing we say to read before posting.
