How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Cindy, I got both of your votes, confirmed them both, and then realized I had two, so don't worry about it -- your ballot stuffing ways were caught, missy!

Our wings are not tired.

I voted once and was confirmed by Buffistas and by Deena. I'm wearing my "I Voted" sticker AIFG!

So are we thinking about thread titles for Bitches?

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

The sooner the old PF forum is closed, the better. Zoe (who is now "Zeo Ann") has gone on another thread creation rampage.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have the request in to Lance -- it's on his clock now.

Oh good.

I should just unsubscribe, but the descending spiral is strangely fascinating.

I know, Victor. I think she's clearly suffering from mania or is schizophrenic. The non-logic logic of her posts has that same "making the hairs on the back of one's neck prickle" that is the hallmark of the non-lucid. When I was teaching, a clinician told us that the back-of-the-neck thing or a bad headache were a really strong sign one is dealing with actual delusions rather than made-up ones.

I still think she earned her banning, BTW--I just hope she gets some help.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Thanks, for saying that, scrappy. It 'felt' like schizophrenia to me, too, reading it.

Hello! I must be going.

Just wanted to stop by and ask if maybe something could be mentioned to Gar about his tone. I dropped out of UnAmerican because I was being too disruptive--my bantering tone about politics was taken as being disrespectful of the other posters so I exiled myself because I was upsetting Fay and Angus and the others. Fine. It's their thread, I shouldn't even be there anyway. And reading back, I was sometimes sarcastic and broad, expecting people to be sarcastic and broad right back, not so...professorial.

But in chasing me away, I found Gar a little much with the condescension and overkill. E.g. when I said I was trying to be funny, he came back with stuff like,

"Incidentally there is a marker often used to identify jokes - funniness. Humor that lacks this can be very hard to spot."

This from a guy who hasn't told a joke here in two years. I mean, does he have to bring in the heavy artillery every time he gets mad at someone? Isn't that as disruptive to the civitas of the board as my transgressions?

I guess I'm probably totally out of line on this, as I seem to be with everything these days, and absolutely nobody else has problems with him, but now that my social capital's at an all-time low, what the hell, I wanted to throw this out. Can't sink any lower here.

And Allyson, I've been on the receiving end of Fay anger too. I'm sure I deserved it, but Yikes, huh?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Caroma, I think you would be better served if you directed your complaint to Typo Boy rather than to the community. Unless they violate etiquette, posting styles have no business in here. Come to that, he could make just as valid a complaint about your posting style.

My best advice to you is just let it go, and I would give the same advice to Gar if he asked.
