I like that Bob.
So, are we doing it that way? Am I keeping it or is Nilly?
Maybe you should both keep a copy, just to build some redundancy into the system in case someone wants to do something while one of you is away. Also makes it easier if someone wants to surprise one of you.
Deena, the only reason I offered was that I thought this will be my way to contribute, seeing as usually I have a hard time taking part in these lovely surprises (different currency, no international credit card, etc.). I definitely didn't mean to step on any toes.
[Edit: Susan is smart. ita, is it possibe, technically?]
Fantastic idea. I'm happy to assist Deena, Nilly or whomever with any grunt work (if there is any) on the compiling/entering info. end.
Nilly, that's why I started the database. It's a way to contribute since I have no money. I promise, no toes stepped on. How about you manage it, and let me have a copy so that we have backup?
I'm glad to see we share the intention. I thought your idea was wonderful when I first saw it, and no matter what the surprise(s) may be, it's probably be very useful already.

Works for me.
I think a lot of people have gotten good out of it -- though, t narrowed eyes I don't recall your name in there.
And at some point, Elena, Plei, and Nilly should send me their lists of later Buffy, Angel, and Firefly quotes and ita should send me formatting instructions, that I might add some quotes to the generator.
I like the idea of a Buffista address database, but I'm a little... well... I'm not leary, but... I'd hate to see the Buffista Good Deed Backchannel become somewhat institutionalized. Right now, we have had many spontaneous acts of generosity and kindness, which I think is wonderful. And the serendipitousness is part of it--sometimes you hear about it, sometimes you get to participate in it, sometimes you just get surprised when you hear about it later.
