"We have trust issues." Mylar

I heartily agree with msbelle that a group of such literate, witty, and intelligent folks ought to be able to come up with an alternate title that will be palatable to all. And since msbelle is among the literate-est, wittiest, and intelligent-est, not to mention the nicest, I nominate her. Get cracking!

And I'm crushed to learn that Joss is not, in fact, God.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Just might not be God, but his body of work is the closest thing a board like this has to universal texts.

Whoa there. The board shares a common interest in some of JW's works, not a dogmatic approach to everything Jossian. The people on this board are way more than just Joss fans.

Even if we considered the shows to be our "universal texts," that doesn't mean that everything in them is good and right.

If you read the bible with any scrutiny, you'll see it seems to support slavery.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Hee.

And I'm crushed to learn that Joss is not, in fact, God.

Yeah. Cause it would actually explain a lot about my life over the last year.

BTW, are we going to be debating this until Elena gets back and the thread actually needs a title? I do hope not.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm assuming we'll be debating until someone comes up with a better title and people can choose it, or people decide that being offen(ded/sive) ain't that big a deal.

Which may happen before or after Elena's return.

Swouncing

Well, among the quotes that lost in a deathmatch despite being apparent favorites were Cordy's "softer side of Sears", Willow's Istanbul, Oz' "huh", and Olaf's babies-eating, just to name a few, of the top of my sieve. Is there a way these can be mixed for a thread title? Like "softer side of eating babies" or any other of the possible permutations, only in a witty way?

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

I nominate "Pearls of Whedon", in order for there to be a new thing to vote down, if nothing else.

I'd like it if it were accurate. But unless I'm mistaken there's pearls of Fury, DeKnight, Goddard, Smith, Espenson, Minear, Greenberg etc.

Yup. Inspires: "Who said that? ME. Who? ME!"
