A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

That's Jon's job.

Hey! I represent that remark!

Go Spaz. choose Spaz.

Swouncing

I'd love it even better if 'spaz' were used as a verb, like the "Istanbul got spazzed!" that Jesse suggested, because it's even more directly linked to the deathmatches this way.

... and that's a Pantera's box you don't want to open. - Mister Furious

For the utter nonsensicalness of the statement, added to it's inner truth, I want to throw 'Delicious Babies got SPAZZED' into the ring.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I like using it as a verb, and delicious babies is cool; istanbul would also be nice, because it was, spazzed, I mean.

The verb thing seems one more half step removed from the worries about being offensive, too. Of course baby eating, while the highest form of comedy, could also be considered to balance that effect out and moreso, but I still rather like it.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I'll second Jon's suggestion.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Using it as a verb works better for me. As a noun, I can't make it not offensive.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

All snark aside, seems like spaz is no worse than "dumb". After all, all pejorative words have negative etymologies. We have any actual empirical evidence of offense? I wouldn't have connected spastic to CP without explicit help.

I had no idea it was considered offensive. And I didn't want to admit that at first, because I was afraid that would have revealed that I was an asshat of the first order who insults as many groups as possible.

Maybe it's the US/UK difference.

But I don't remember anyone being offended by its use in the show.

In any case, I don't participate in the deathmatches, so I actually don't care what the title is.

And I do have a related Deathmatch question that I have to admit I'm afraid is going to get me yelled at: now that the Deathmatches have been running for a while, and the people who participate are in all likelihood subscribed to the thread, do there still need to be announcements made in Press every time a new round starts up?
