Good assumption. I was kind of thinking there might be a fudge factor in there, but then again, I was being flippant about the slashdot issue and not clear.

Well, I think the upshot is that we are shutting down the site anyway. And when it comes up, with more capacity than before.
How long do we white font the film comments in the RotK thread?
Until I see it.
Snerk. Best spoiler policy ever!
From the thread header: Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Jon, all I see in the thread header is this:
Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"?
Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn.
Aragorn: I like "Strider."
Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".
A discussion of Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. If you're a pervy hobbit fancier, this is the place for you.
That's why I asked. Where is that thread header?
Bitches' Bath Bash!
Would someone please link me to the thread header for RotK, that Jon referenced? I really don't know where it is. All I see is the slug on the main page/message center page, and what I thought was the thread header, which I quote a couple of posts back.
As far as I can see - what Jon posted was the spoiler policy for the Movies thread:
Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release. There is no spoiler policy in the thread header for RotK nor was there one for the TTT thread.
My two cents: I think it makes sense to wait until Monday so folks have a chance to see it over the weekend.
