Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

There's no prohibition against mentioning the writers in the FAQ, only episode titles. It's not a spoiler, and mentioning the writers is not a broadening of current spoiler policy.

Wait wait wait wait wait... what about the hue and cry about the legitimacy and provenance of the FAQ?

I've been white-fonting the episode titles when I do the breakdowns in Mejiaville. I haven't heard any objections to this, but if anyone wants me to change, I can.

I really don't understand the objection to whitefonting. A person can read it or now-- it would seem to make both sides of such a question happy.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

B vs. D basically tells us 2 of the characters who are going to appear in the episode. Nothing about the plot.

Well, they DO fight.

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

Buffy fighting a VAMPIRE???

OMFG.. Now I'm spoiled for my DVD!!!

with a gleam in my eye, and an almost airtight alibi

What I labled "bitching" was complaining about even having to vote about something which was a) settled some time ago and b) in favor of the complainer

That wasn't bitching. That was me pointing out that it became a Big Huge Deal despite the fact that the thing we were arguing about was common and widely-broadcast knowledge, so what do we think will happen in the future with less commonly-known or widely-broadcast facts? Step back, Trudy.

If we're going to get rid of Spoilage Lite, then we have to be able to whitefont in the main thread. Which, IIRC, we used to do before Spoilage Lite.

For example, "Two to Go." Anyone who saw the flaying of Warren and heard Willow say, "One down," would figure out that Willow would be after Jonathan and Andrew in the next ep. The title confirms the assumption.

But if you didn't know that, the title could also refer to the fact that there were only two more episodes to go in the season.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Buffy fighting a VAMPIRE???

Coulda just been some lame human dude named "Dracula" -- you don't know.

That doesn't make any sense -- because that's basically what Cindy said.

Art Crawl!!!

I seem to remember some spoiler warning about the episode title for "The Body" before it aired. But I could be mis-remembering.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Of course, to be fair I knew approximately how long Faith was going to be around for, and you can make guesses from that (the chance that Faith was going to leave LA with Angelus still running around was greater than zero but not very high).

Ahh, but you only knew that because a) you knew that Faith would be around and b) Faith would leave LA (i.e. not buy the farm). The titles of the eps alone wouldn't have told you that - you inferred from other plot points you did know.

If you didn't know Faith was going to Sunnydale, Players could easily have referred to, say, Angelus and Vamp!Faith on a rampage together (and oh wouldn't that have been fun).

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

See, this is what honesty gets you. I would've guessed that Players was the transition point anyway, FWIW.

Nobody

We could always do a poll (but with the voting mechanism, not Mr. Poll - which can be fixed) to determine how many folks feel episode titles should be allowed in NAFDA.

It doesn't have to be a ballot. We could just get a feel for how the community thinks of items like these.
