Some of the Angel season 3 titles hinted. Dad and Lullabye come to mind.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

What would you like the policy to be?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So unless Angel 5.1 is called "Hey! Gunn really IS a Giant Panther!", I think posting episode titles in the main thread is okay.

I agree.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Our official spoiler policy is that episode titles are spoilery. And frankly, I'm in the Spoiler thread anyway, so I'm not impeded from getting the info. But still. Explain to me how you would have known ahead of time what "Shiny Happy People" was about.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Well, the tendency seems to be toward broadening the definition of "unspoiled".

I would ask that we whitefont titles.

I don't see why we aren't allowed to discuss the outcome of a vote without it being labeled as "bitching" or "sniping"

What I labled "bitching" was complaining about even having to vote about something which was a) settled some time ago and b) in favor of the complainer

Like I said, I'm in Spoilers, so it won't affect me, personally. Other than saving my Angel discussion for -- maybe -- the night of the show.

But I think episode titles aren't spoilery.

Except "Hello, Xander One-Eye." That gave a little something away....

I'm curious as to how titles are spoilery. I mean for you, personally. Because I don't get it, so I'm wondering what your perspective is.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Except "Hello, Xander One-Eye." That gave a little something away....
There was an ep devoted exclusively to his penis? Wow, I guess nothing can defeat it...

I've never been at a board where they were treated as spoilers before this one. At another board, on which our UK posters might make up about 1/3 of the active posters (maybe more), which is linear, we use the episode titles to label the spoilers (which are then in spoiler font).

But, since someone is bound not to remember that a title like "Hello, Xander One-Eye" gives away the plot, it seems like whiting out or not putting the titles in the NAFDA thread is probably the safest treatment for titles. I don't understand it 99 out of 100 times, but I can understand it that one time out of the 100, like with Dad and Lullabye. We can always use season/episode number to refer to an ep ahead of time.

Trudy, would it take away from your enjoyment if people were able to openly discuss the name of a given episode writer?

Yep. Different writers are known for different things. I'd rather be surprised.

And I sorta don't care what other boards do. This one has always not had them or at least white fonted.
