So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Heh.

I think my sad admission is that I think I'd have preferred to see consolidation that took us back to the WX-era threads only. (And, of course, the house keeping.)

I may well be a cranky old man. (IOW, I'd have whacked Music, Hobbits, and Movies.)

(And, you know, after my coffee, I'm sure I'll be fine with it. Blah blah blah, needs of the many and all.)

No other candidate is asking the hard questions, like "Did geophysicists assassinate Jim Henson?" or "Why is there hydrogen in America's water supply?" --defective yeti

Well, my feeling was that everytime I asked a question in Lightbulbs I got shut down -- that the discussion was a place to let off steam on a ballot that was already decided.

I think in part that's a function of having the proposer have ultimate authority over the questions, fwiw. There seemed (to me) to be a fair amount of consensus over the fact that Farscape was at best an awkward fit with the other two. But that's not what the proposer chose to propose.

Hmm... I threadsucked Lightbulbs for people's opinion on Farscape, and didn't find one for Sumi. The "consensus vote" was 6-3½, with 3 "don't cares," so not a landslide.

Anyway, I think Kat is proof from attack on being inflexible on her proposal. She was really involved in the discussion and updated the proposal four times with different wording. You can tell she wasn't set on killing Farscape by the language in her original proposal:

5. Due South, Smallville and perhaps Farscape will be consolidated in some way.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Besides, it's not dead! Farscape is only sleeping.

with a gleam in my eye, and an almost airtight alibi

I am annoyed at the loss of the Spoilage Lite thread for Angel, since that's the only thing being cut that isn't either at the end of its useful life or being somehow replaced by some other thread.

And I feel very strongly that we shouldn't encourage the inevitable thread drift in the SV/dS/FS thread slug -- it'll happen, I'm sure, but let's not invite it.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Me too, but I've decided to take it as a sign that I should go completely spoiler-free this season. I don't think it will lessen my enjoyment of the show any. I did fine without them before the thread was created on WX.

How about "Boxed Set 1: Farscape, Smallville, Due South, et nil." That's still kind of Latin. Besides, if you can add others, you don't have the complete boxed set, do you?

All is well that ends in pizza.

I voted against this, too. I don't *want* to go into the full spoiler thread, and I don't actively go seeking spoilers out on the net. I resisted spoilage light for a long time, until someone told me that all semi-spoilers were whitefonted. Only then did I venture in.

There is no whitefont on the internet.

Nobody

I think my sad admission is that I think I'd have preferred to see consolidation that took us back to the WX-era threads only. (And, of course, the house keeping.)

Would there be any benefit in re-opening the closed threads at the WX Buffista Contingency board or the PF Buffista Contingency-Contingency board? I'm thinking of Spoilers Lite in particular, but also, even due South, Farscape, Smallville, and PPO? Would there be a problem in doing so?

Further to what Cindy said, it was suggested in Bitches that people (especially deb) might be using PF for f2f talk. That seemed to make sense.

Our wings are not tired.

Prior to the Lite threads were the episode titles, casting news, writer info, and other non-plot related spoils whitefonted in the show thread?

Not trying to stir things up between the virgins and hos again, but the options in my mind seem to be to either have the lite stuff whitefonted so the pure can avoid, or ask a ho. I know that my specific questions have always been promtly answered by someone in the know.
