All is well that ends in pizza.

I am annoyed at the loss of the Spoilage Lite thread for Angel, since that's the only thing being cut that isn't either at the end of its useful life or being somehow replaced by some other thread.

I voted against this, too. I don't *want* to go into the full spoiler thread, and I don't actively go seeking spoilers out on the net. I resisted spoilage light for a long time, until someone told me that all semi-spoilers were whitefonted. Only then did I venture in.

There is no whitefont on the internet.

Nobody

I think my sad admission is that I think I'd have preferred to see consolidation that took us back to the WX-era threads only. (And, of course, the house keeping.)

Would there be any benefit in re-opening the closed threads at the WX Buffista Contingency board or the PF Buffista Contingency-Contingency board? I'm thinking of Spoilers Lite in particular, but also, even due South, Farscape, Smallville, and PPO? Would there be a problem in doing so?

I bop to Wittgenstein. -- Nutty

Further to what Cindy said, it was suggested in Bitches that people (especially deb) might be using PF for f2f talk. That seemed to make sense.

Our wings are not tired.

Prior to the Lite threads were the episode titles, casting news, writer info, and other non-plot related spoils whitefonted in the show thread?

Not trying to stir things up between the virgins and hos again, but the options in my mind seem to be to either have the lite stuff whitefonted so the pure can avoid, or ask a ho. I know that my specific questions have always been promtly answered by someone in the know.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Silly me, I thought the reason we built this place was to keep everybody here together, not to send them off to other boards.

(Not directed at Cindy in particular, just at the general idea of telling people to go elsewhere.)

Theoretically there wasn't supposed to be anything in the main threads, but episode titles were occasionally in there, white-fonted, and writers were mentioned (certainly we always knew which episodes Tim was doing on Angel). Casting news was generally sent to the spoiler thread.

Well, one thing that's happening a lot more is mini-F2Fs. It's easier to organize something in-thread if it involves more than 2 or 3 people, IMO. And since we closed the F2F thread, I for one have been encouraging people to use the PeoplesForum F2F thread. And I have no apology for that.

I don't see that you need one. I was more making a comment on some shortsightedness of the original vote. Which is sour grapes, because I could have said something about it in Lightbulb before the vote and didn't, but it irks a bit that a thread that fosters community got temporarily deep-sixed.

No matter, F2F will reopen in October, anyway, because that's when we start planning next year's big event.

Oh. D'oh. Sorry -- comprehension is low pre-lunchtime.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I haven't been terribly involved in all the Light Bulb rigmarole, due to time, but I'm reasonably pleased by the consolidations and shutdowns. I think in most cases the fits will turn out to be fine, or at least pretty good; but until we've actually performed the consolidations, all we have to work from are worries and projections.

Thanks! I could not remember whether we voted for a majority or a plurality! We really need a cheat sheet.

Jon, any progress on that htmlification job? Or you want I should post my pre-edit version, for the sake of having something?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

OK, OK, I'll do it before the weekend is over. Really.
