Angel: Connor, this is Spike and Illyria. Guys, this is Connor. Connor: Hi. umm...I like your outfit. Illyria: Your body warms. This one is lusting after me. Connor: Oh...no, I--I--it's just that it's the outfit. I guess I've had a thing for older women. Angel: They were supposed to fix that.

Thrive to spite them

What about DueSmallScape?

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

DueSmallScape?

Also good for me. As would a play with SouthScapeVille or DueScapeVille or FarSouthVille. Or pretty much any sort of combo-y title.

I have a silly question, and you'll have to forgive me since I don't read this thread all the time, and I don't know all the ins and outs of voting but I'll bravely ask if 123 votes is considered representative of the board or quorum?

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I'd say whitefont for spoilers but not recently broadcast info. There should be a warning in the slug that recently broadcast stuff is NOT whitefonted.

Sounds good to me.

Okay, so, let's try this, because while Nutty's slug makes me grin I agree that we want to be as specific as possible in the title.

No, wait, before I get serious, because I just thought of it and it makes me giggle, so I'm going to throw it out there on the very small chance some other people are twelve years old as well:

SouthSmallScape 1: Fannish Intercourse

Okay, seriously now.

SouthSmallScape 1: What? They've All Got Bald Characters!

Okay, not productive. Titling isn't my strong point. Plus I actually have no idea if there are any bald characters in Due South, I was thinking Stargate.

SouthSmallScape 1: Other Shows We Get Fannish About

Is that too encouraging of General TV-dom? Anyway, on to the slug:

A topic for the discussion of Due South, Smallville, and Farscape. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Art Crawl!!!

How about something about Mounties, Immortals, Men of Steel and Jocks in Spaaace?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Because I'm all about the Smallville spoiler ho'ing and in that thread whitefonting even major spoilers (which for Smallville is so an oxymoron, but that is another conversation entirely) is OK.

I believe we'd decided to go with a non-whitefonting policy, but I could be recalling incorrectly.

Farscape had white-fonted spoilers, too, although the spoilers were more discussion of episodes that aired overseas prior to airing in the US as opposed to posting upcoming plot twist rumors. Due South has no spoilers. What's the policy for SG-1?

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Megan-- I think most votes have gotten between 80 - 123. I think 123 may be the highest, except maybe for the "vote to vote"

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have a silly question, and you'll have to forgive me since I don't read this thread all the time, and I don't know all the ins and outs of voting but I'll bravely ask if 123 votes is considered representative of the board or quorum?

Yes. We decided (via voting) that 42 voters would make a vote valid. And I feel like I've heard recently that there were 180 posters in the past two months or something, just for comparison.

Up with the sun

I'll bravely ask if 123 votes is considered representative of the board or quorum?

When we were setting up voting, we had a vote (ha!) and decided 42 was the minimum number of votes for a valid election. Fewer than that, and the vote would not be considered representative.

On a practical level, it's probably about 2/3 of our regular users -- I think ita said 180 people had logged in during August.

Edit: X-post.

The minimum number of votes that are required for the vote to be official is 42. ita mentioned upthread a bit that we had about 200 unique posters post so far this month.
