S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

We've been employing the whitefront for future spoilers, but for episodes that are aired there's no whitefronting necessary, save the east coast-west coast time difference.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

If I can get four seconds, I can propose tomorrow that we change our name from "The Buffistas" to "Toe Jam".

Seconded.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I believe we'd decided to go with a non-whitefonting policy, but I could be recalling incorrectly.

I like Nutty's proposal. Not too dense to be followed, and no Ikea in evidence.

For the record, I don't watch Smallville and don't intend to. I will read the combined thread and skim what doesn't interest me, just as I do with other threads here. And yes, I voted for the combined thread in the interest of conserving board resources.

I said the Ikea bit and I wouldn't use it as a title. If I were me. Which I am. So I guess I mean if I were queen of the momemt. Which I'm not.

Anyway,

I like SouthSmallScape: A discussion of DS/SV/FS or something like that. Cause it's obscurish but clearish at the same time.

I don't think labelling it directly as a "Combined TV fandom" is a good idea because it's way too general.

I'm sorry that people don't like the result of the voting on this one. And yet, 55 people liked it enough to vote for it.

I'd say whitefont for spoilers but not recently broadcast info. There should be a warning in the slug that recently broadcast stuff is NOT whitefonted.

edited for parallelism.

Thrive to spite them

Beverly--no. I guess I'm just still thinking of a hold over because we pretty much named PPO, Due South, Bitchy Fic, etc by ourselves when it was over at Worldcrossing and seperate from the main Buffista board.

Also, I guess I'm confusing naming the whole thread with thinking up thread titles.

What about DueSmallScape?

DueSmallScape?

Also good for me. As would a play with SouthScapeVille or DueScapeVille or FarSouthVille. Or pretty much any sort of combo-y title.

I have a silly question, and you'll have to forgive me since I don't read this thread all the time, and I don't know all the ins and outs of voting but I'll bravely ask if 123 votes is considered representative of the board or quorum?

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Sounds good to me.

Okay, so, let's try this, because while Nutty's slug makes me grin I agree that we want to be as specific as possible in the title.

No, wait, before I get serious, because I just thought of it and it makes me giggle, so I'm going to throw it out there on the very small chance some other people are twelve years old as well:

SouthSmallScape 1: Fannish Intercourse

Okay, seriously now.

SouthSmallScape 1: What? They've All Got Bald Characters!

Okay, not productive. Titling isn't my strong point. Plus I actually have no idea if there are any bald characters in Due South, I was thinking Stargate.

SouthSmallScape 1: Other Shows We Get Fannish About

Is that too encouraging of General TV-dom? Anyway, on to the slug:

A topic for the discussion of Due South, Smallville, and Farscape. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Art Crawl!!!

How about something about Mounties, Immortals, Men of Steel and Jocks in Spaaace?
