So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Umm. No.

She violated the terms of her suspension. That's a ban. Instant, no take backs, no if onlys.

Period.

Edit: But I see this is crossposty.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Enormous hugs and hands in new places to Julie, Cindy, Paul and whomever else she slagged.

Has she assigned you Star Wars characters? Have you LOOKED at that woman's family tree? It's what convinced me that the captain of Zoe's tugboat pulled a Hazelton.

(I still think she's mentally off, btw, but now I think she's aggressive and not just clueless.)

Can we actually enforce a ban beyond the borders of buffistas.org? With no teeth, a ban is unpointy.

Tom, to me, the point of saying, "Yes, this suspension means WX and PF too" is that no one can turn around and say, "But I didn't KNOW I was suspended EVERYWHERE. It's noooottt faaaiiirrrr."

Or something equally annoying.

Nobody

PaulJ - Apr 16, 2003 10:20:36 am PDT #446 of 10005

Oh, don't worry about me, Trudy. I don't take what trolls say about me personally.

And my unsolicited advice to anyone else would be to do exactly the same. So a person on the other side of the world decides to put an incoherent rant on her website with some names that happen to be sported too by some people here? Whatever. It's just yet another personal website. I mean, it's not as if a monster is going to pop out of the Internet and try to kill you...

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Tom, to me, the point of saying, "Yes, this suspension means WX and PF too" is that no one can turn around and say, "But I didn't KNOW I was suspended EVERYWHERE. It's noooottt faaaiiirrrr."

I agree, we should add that language to the etiquette guide (as well as what we're hacking out now in Lightbulbs).

So,

Consistent demon-like behavior may earn a warning from the Stompy Feet. If you don't listen to the warning, you will be suspended for two months. And if you come back unreformed, you will be banned. Banning is rare and very much a last resort.

Should have:

Just FYI, our back-up boards on WorldCrossing and PeoplesForum are also Buffista Zones, and are subject to the same etiquette rules as the Phoenix.

added to it.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Has she assigned you Star Wars characters? Have you LOOKED at that woman's family tree? It's what convinced me that the captain of Zoe's tugboat pulled a Hazelton.

Looking at the PF posts-- particularly her references to "Child Poverty Action Group 'Welfare benefits and tax credits handbook'" I think she sincerely believes we are somehow connected with her family:

I am simply ashamed that my step-parents and their supporters believe they have the right and ability to occupy my forum aswell as my parents and our friends.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

FWIW, I don't like that it says "may earn a warning." I think it should say, "will earn a warning"

PaulJ - Apr 16, 2003 10:29:37 am PDT #451 of 10005

Well, Cindy, if you don't mind me dictating what your feelings should be :-): don't be outraged either. It's not worth it. I mean, really, once established that [XXX] is a troll, isn't it a waste of energy to even think about what they say for a minute? Energy that could be better spent in positive, happy, life-affirming things like, say, porn?
