Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'll be around today to bludgeon anyone who dares suggest something different.

Here's a silly never-learned-Latin-and-the-other-languages-are-not-so-well-either question:

how does one pronounce "Ides"? Does it rhyme with "tides" or with "ids" or with something else entirely, as if it were written in French? I'd like the name of the new Natter thread to ring correctly in my head, after all.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

It rhymes with "tides".

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Reminder:

Natter 15: Beware the Ides of Natter

We likeses it. Musts haveses it. (I, of course, stated this preference last week but hey vote early and often - or, um, remind people that this has been an overwhelming favorite since it was mentioned.)

hip deep in pie

What about making out with Rio?

(Or should I put that in ASSCAPS!)

DXMachina - Aug 11, 2003 6:22:36 am PDT #3986 of 10005
You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

What about making out with Rio?

We don't need Natter to do that.

Ann, that's a ferret.

15th is the last chance for Ides. Making Out for 16.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

In actual Latin once upon a time it would've been ee-dehs, though, right?

So it rhymes with ita?

Runs away *very* quickly...
