Hey, I've been in a firefight before! Well, I was in a fire. Actually, I was fired from a fry-cook opportunity. I can handle myself.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Boggles at Cashmere...

I really hated it.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I really hated it.

Yes, I heard that it's dreadful, but helpful. So there's the rub. I roomed for one semester at college with a Latin major--in COLLEGE mind you! Ew.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

Two years of high school Latin,

That's more useful than what I got out of 2 years of HS Latin - the ability to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in a dead language.

If I only had a brain...

God. You just reminded me that I can sing "Jingle Bells" in Latin.

The horror.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I took three years of Latin, and didn't know that. Of course, my Latin teacher was a man who named himself Phat Daddy and who would frequently decide teaching Latin was boring, so he'd do something else.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I never learned Latin, but I do own a copy of Winnie Ille Pooh.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I took a year of Latin, and liked it quite a bit. Admittedly the one year of Latin we had at our high school was as much cultural as linguistic - I don't think we even got out of the present tense - but I thought it was a really fun language, with the cases and all. Plus, pretty.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Plus, pretty.

Hence, all the lovers.

Count me in for Natter 15: Beware the Ides of Natter

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Count me in for Ides. And liking Latin. But Natter 17, I believe, was going to be something on the 'this could be mathier' theme, in honour of Nilly.
