You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Cindy, I didn't go to her site. You're right, I have a much bigger problem with what she put up there than what what she put up at PF. However, I don't know what we can do about what she puts up on her own site.

Lyra, vw is taking a break because she got tired of her ex-friends trolling around bitching about what she was posting here.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

More thanks to DX, and chiming in to say that I think that a note to Lance is more than warranted -- I didn't go to PF to read her new posts (and I have her blocked over there anyway), but from what Cindy's quoting, the naming names stuff is seriously ugly.

(and, on a separate note -- Lyra, the last I heard is that VW is lurking when possible, but taking a posting break due to general too-muchness. She's doing well, though, and I'm pretty sure the Somervillains are seeing her regularly.)

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Cindy, if it makes you feel any better, she can't spell the names she's ranting after! Le sigh. Not 100% surprised at the not-on-Buffistas ugliness, but certainly displeased. Don't know what should be done about it, or what could be.

I must say, it all resolved itself rather quickly here, didn't it? She was serial posting and being a low-level irritant when I went home from work, and by Buffy-time had been suspended. I'm sort of backhandedly pleased that she was being actively rude and refused to quit; it removes some of the potential ambiguity (and a lot of Buffista argument, I'm seeing?) from the situation.

I'm sorry it had to come to this, and my sympathies with DX for being the one who had to do it, but I'm satisfied, I think, that this was the right thing to do.

Well, nothing, and that's really as it should be. I do like the idea of taking the Buffistas name off the PF folder if we can't get her out of there. My feeling is that her (godawful! Is that petty of me?) website is her space, our folder is ours.

Up with the sun

Thanks, Amy, DX. Good to know she's (relatively) okay.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

My feeling is that her (godawful! Is that petty of me?) website is her space, our folder is ours.

No, I don't think it's petty (hm, maybe I should take those tags off my own post). She's clearly got her own webspace -- she shouldn't be treating our forum like its her blog.

Not meant as a comment at all -- actually, I didn't even really register your "petty" tags -- I was just feeling that way myself for commenting on her web design in the midst of a discussion of what to do about her.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I sent an e-mail to Lance.

Another social casualty...

Question: Would it be possible, feasible, and/or advisable to contact the host of her webpage about the threats contained in her page? It's not that I think we are in any serious danger, but in all honesty, I'm concerned and seriously creeped.

Also, since I came into all this early this morning, thanks to DX and the others. It was an ugly situation that was handled with as much grace as humanly possible.
