Victor, I think DX meant we had technical problems.

Victor, I think he means physical problems. As in, he was still logged in, so there was no way to terminate quickly.
No, Victor, I meant from a technical point of view. When ita suspended mieskie, he was able to continue to post for awhile.
Ah, I stand corrected.
So. Relieved.
I'm glad that it's over. I only wish it had not gone on for so long.
Wow, another round of applause for DX and the Stompies (band name!)
There was so much...space...in the Buffy thread tonight! And I hope it's not spoil-y to say it was a terrific show that will need all the extra space DX has just bestowed upon us.
PS, just wanted to go on the record that I did not mean to offend Deborah Grabien just now by calling her "Debbie". I know a few of them and all of them go by the diminutive (even the one whose name is really Devorah), and since I usually don't natter I honestly didn't know that she didn't like it. To me it's as natural as calling an Arthur Artie or a Raymond Ray, and it's not like dimunitives and nicknames aren't used here constantly. But still it was wrong and I apologize on the record here.
Thanks, Caroma--though I'm not sure Deborah usually reads Bureaucracy, so you might want to repost in Natter.
As a person who hates Sue and Suzy, I never call anyone else by a diminutive unless they're introduced that way or it's clear that almost everyone calls them that and they like it. I do have a slew of nicknames based on my maiden name that my college friends use, since we had an oversupply of Susans and needed a way to differentiate. But if I had a dime for every time a total stranger had called me at work and said "Is this Sue?" to have me reply politely but through gritted teeth, "No, this is Susan," I'd be a rich woman.
Sorry for responding so harshly, Caroma. I'm oversensitive at the moment.
This was more draining than giving blood. We should all have cookies and juice, now.
