Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Thanks, Caroma--though I'm not sure Deborah usually reads Bureaucracy, so you might want to repost in Natter.

As a person who hates Sue and Suzy, I never call anyone else by a diminutive unless they're introduced that way or it's clear that almost everyone calls them that and they like it. I do have a slew of nicknames based on my maiden name that my college friends use, since we had an oversupply of Susans and needed a way to differentiate. But if I had a dime for every time a total stranger had called me at work and said "Is this Sue?" to have me reply politely but through gritted teeth, "No, this is Susan," I'd be a rich woman.

Sorry for responding so harshly, Caroma. I'm oversensitive at the moment.

This was more draining than giving blood. We should all have cookies and juice, now.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Cindy, more than you can possibly know. I had a couple of tubes of blood drawn today, as a matter of fact. It was weird, because although I'm very squickish about having my blood taken (I can't watch), it usually doesn't hurt, Today, for whatever reason, it hurt like hell when she took it. My arm still hurts.

Does beer and chili-lime chips work? They do for me.

Sounds good to me, Suela.

{{{DX}}} And then you had to be the hard ass, when you're really a softie.

I'm squickish about having blood drawn, too. I didn't used to be, but then I passed out once during a mono test when I was a teenager. They have a hard time getting my blood, so now I just tell them I faint, so I'd like to lie down. She must have bruised your vein.

I'm sorry, hon. I was hoping I'd catch the post-warning problems and save you the trouble, but I was vacuuming my sofa.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

My first post in this thread was a profession of love. I will say it again, I love DX. Screaming it from the mountain tops. And it's got everything to do with what he is and not what he does.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Just got here, and haven't even read Buffy yet. What a great episode, though.

{{DX}} Thank you for doing the hard work tonight.
