Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I don't think it would be fair to make the main thread include unairedintheUS ep discussion, really, because there are people who want to remain unspoiled until they've got the DVDs.

Except - UnAmeiricans had to put with this for years in avoiding the Buffy and Angel main threads if they wanted to be unspoiled. Turn about does not seem to me to be wrong in this instance.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

For me, it's got nothing to do with being fair to Unamericans vs. Americans. It's about inconveniencing people for the shortest period of time. Putting the unaired ep discussions in the main thread inconveniences one group of people through the end of the year. Putting it in spoilers inconveniences another group for less than three weeks.

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

Not that I'm watching, but I agree with Jon.

I'm with Jon. Personally, I'd prefer if Spoilers could remain a free for all but I'm not really seeing any other solution here. And it's only for three weeks.

Also, I don't know how much conversation about the three eps there is to worry about. I feel that most of us already said what we had to say back when we downloaded them. Any new discussion of those episodes will probably be generated by the UKers reaction as they see each of them.

Edited because I'm a dumbass.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I do see where you're coming from, but whilst this might be fair, in a turn and turn about sense, it isn't kind.

There are only a handful of UK-based Buffistas. I mean, yes, I'd like to continue to discuss the shows as they air somewhere in the manner that we've been doing. But I would rather not discuss them than prevent people from being able to frequent the main thread for fear of me spoiling them and reducing their pleasure in the DVDs.I would gain no satisfaction from a discussion of the shows which I knew was inconveniencing a bunch of other people.

Whitefont is going to irritate some people, and clearly Le Nubian (& perhaps some others) is annoyed at (but prepared to go along with) the request that references to The Message, Heart of Gold and Objects in Space be avoided until we've had them aired over here. Setting up a thread for a handful of people for the sake of the 3 weeks seems daft to me. We're going to inconvenience some people regardless.

Having the discussion in the Spoiler thread seems like the most sensible option to me. I'd be most grateful if people could refrain from spoiling me for the remaining 3 eps, but if not then I'll suck it up.

(Hell, it's not like I wasn't spoiled for most of the season, after all.)

Um...oops?

Sorry, not awake here yet.

All is well that ends in pizza.

DCJ, there's no "e" in Nubian.

Sorry, I was dead tired and spelling went out the window.
