Lurker since 1999-quiet but shallow

This is why I seldom post.

I just saw voting as the logical extension of my interest in the debate and of my still-unspoken love for the community, plus it was nice, safe can't-possibly-make-a-fool-of-myself way of participating.

Leigh has said it all for me including why I vote. My mom was a big time League if Women Voters honcho and drummed it into me that voting was a responsibility of the members of any community.

I've lurked since the last year or so of TT, posting about twice a year but reading almost daily. I would define myself as a peripheral member, but one who cares a great deal about the community and is frequently in awe of the rest of you.

Nobody

I love hearing from the lurkers! So glad you enjoy it here. And yay you for voting and all. I do want to recommend posting now and again, ESPECIALLY on Saturdays and Sundays when I am at work and in desperate need of amusement and it's pretty dead around here!

Your husband isn't a former Canadian game show host, is he?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

It was down?
Seriously. I missed it.

If Buffistas.org goes down, and no one is around to notice...

Nope, nowhere that can go that isn't going get porny at some point.

By the way, I do have a computer available in the great State o' Maine!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Gronk.

ETA: Never mind, nothing to see here....

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

The idea that core buffistas do, or should have extra rights?

Both. Do in a moral sense, should in a codification sense.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Do in a moral sense, should in a codification sense.

I think certain Buffistas command more respect, but as long as we're human, that's going to happen. Certain Buffistas have more persuasive power, for the same mortal reasons.

Is that what bothers you, or is there something deeper?

That is not my beautiful husband.
