But Betsy a) proposed first b) got seconds c) is searching the thread for the precise language now.
I say when she has the language, we go with that, and when that's done, it's Minearville, ahoy!

Lyra, I was waiting for a list of all decisions to which it would apply, and also for the previously queued votes to occur.
Here's the original proposal. [link]
Here's Cindy's Nilly. Cindy "Bureaucracy 1: Like Kafka, Only Funnier" Mar 28, 2003 5:57:04 am EST
The proposal, therefore, is:
All decisions made between December 20, 2002 and March 20, 2003 [was within the last three months] are subject to a waiting period before being reopened. This waiting period shall be the standard Buffista post-vote waiting period, and shall begin from March 20, 2003 [was the passage of this proposal].
By the time grandfather proposal gets voted on, many of the "old decisions" will have hit or nearly hit the 6 month moratorium anyway. Just something to think about.
I suspect we all took a sort of break, to recharge our bureau batteries, which may be why the delay. I tend to think we should run Betsy's first, if she can put it up today (it already had seconds; you know, I think I was one of them), and my apologies to Allyson.
Allyson, all, how would you all feel about a multi-item ballot, including the Minear Thread Proposal, and several thread-consolidaiton and/or future thread planning proposals? Because, I mean, I can see there's a groundswell for the Minear idea, and that's nice, but I'd sort of like to look at all the threads/thread ideas in context, amd make sure we don't duplicate efforts or tie outrselves into knots.
If that steps on people's toes, I'm perfectly willing to wait after Minear Thread has been discussed and voted on; but, you know, I also like the idea of many birds with one stone.
Also, thinking ahead, I wonder if some of this voting will fall into the people-absent-from-boards-due-to-F2F period, since I keep hearing about people arriving in LA like Wednesday. Er, lessee -- We can complete one week discuss/vote by the 23rd, and have that done; but should the second one have, say, an extended voting period, or extended talk period, to give equal yammering time to the F2Fers?
You're right that this proposal, like the war thread, is pretty nearly moot.
Okay, I didn't know there was a real proposal floating around on grandfathering. Never mind me.
But can I be obnoxious and ask why an all Tim, all the time thread? One of the things I've always liked about this place is that we discuss shows, not personalities -- we've never had an Alyson Hannigan or Marti Noxon thread. I appreciate that Tim posting here makes it a special case, but wouldn't a Wonder Falls thread also honor him and be more in keeping with our pattern?
There's a six month moratorium on stuff we've already decided, long ago, in a galaxy far, far away? What does that mean? Someone can propose that we rename the Phoenix, "Allyson's Diner?"
Oy. I'm going to get a piece of paper signed by too many people. And then I'm going to have some tea.
And I think a multi-item ballot would be excellent.
Also agreeing to a multi-item ballot.

This is basically my position, but I'll wait until we get to actual discussion to expand.
I don't care which one we do first, but I'd rather not see them grouped together since they're really not related.
