I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

No other candidate is asking the hard questions, like "Did geophysicists assassinate Jim Henson?" or "Why is there hydrogen in America's water supply?" --defective yeti

When a tree falls in the forest, and no one's around, do you think it was Tim who killed it?

Natter follows.

I now want to know which billytea considers to be the right choice.

I Googled mantis shrimp when he said that and they have powerful, praying-mantis-type claws for spearing fish that can strike hard enough to break double-paned aquarium glass. They're pretty handy with the laceration. However, I also just looked up naked mole rats and I don't want anything that's a coprophage in my pants either.

Nobody

has the conversation really become...

A Buffista, a nekkid prawn and a pair of trousers in a treehouse get a talkshow, nobody hears them fall, how many forrest threads do we create?

Yes! We've reached Buffista Nirvana!

Buffista Nirvana!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I do believe we have our first "I am Buffista, hear me talk show" thread title candidate :)

When a tree falls in the forest, and no one's around, do you think it was Tim who killed it?

And this? Is clearly the slug for the all Tim, all the time thread!!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

When a tree falls in the forest, and no one's around, do you think it was Tim who killed it?

That is the PERFECT slug for a Tim thread.

(Now make with the lack of natter, funny bunnies.)

(Even if you did make me laugh like one of those drain things.)

(Because it was really funny.)

Nobody

(It was a purification ritual. We do it after every episode of The Buffistas Have A Difficult Conversation. It keeps Bureau from crumbling. This Is Not Natter.)

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I realize this is purely personal, so forgive me for bringing it up, but I'm a little squicked at the thought of debating whether our Tim's show should have his own thread. It seems like it's so obvious, an honor.

Info on the series is that it was developed by Bryan Fuller (DS9 and Voyager are career highlights) and Todd Holland (Highlights include Tales from the Crypt, Amazing Stories, My So-Called Life, Malcolm in the Middle, and Fury's never picked up Ball and Chain).

Again, totally realizing tha this is My Issue, and that other Buffistas Have a Point about making community decisions through discussion and voting.

I'm thinking that if it were me, and I found a thread debating the merits of whether there should be a thread dedicated to discussing my work I'd be a little confused. Just seems honorary.

If I'm totally off base, please tell me so and I'll propose the thread dedicated to All Things Minear.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Wow. That's quite the list of peeps.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Okay, coming late and a little skimmy. There was a discussion on which Buffy-related threads to delete and/or combine, yes? What was decided? And then there was a question of which ME writer shows get their own threads? I thought there was a lot of support for Tim getting a thread. Did I skip a big discussion?

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

If I'm totally off base, please tell me so and I'll propose the thread dedicated to All Things Minear.

This is just my $0.02, so everybody can take or leave it as they see fit, but I persoanlly would like to see a new Tim thread get created the same way anything else gets created.

But even more than that, I would like for whatever we do - vote to create, or just create by fiat, a thread for Tim's new show - to wait until after Tuesday the 15th, just a few short days away, when we actually know whether or not a single episode of the show will even air.

It is still very premature to start talking about new shows in the new season, when even the studio executives do not know for sure what's been picked up yet.

Again, just my $0.02. Do what you like with it.

brillig

Well, in the interests of preserving database space, we could probably combine Great Write Way and Pornanthology into Bitchy Fic, but I think a separate thread for Fan Fiction in all its incarnations is still a good thing. One thread for workshopping, one thread for reccing other people's work.
