Yes a Graduate NAFDA thread with no whitefonting.

Up with the sun

Another problem is that this could end up being a general teevee thread, and I believe there was great resistance to that.

Eh. I'm neutral on the idea of a general TV thread, but a "we can have threads for TV shows if ME people work on them or there's HoYay! involved" policy strikes me as unfair. ISTM that about as many Buffistas watch Alias as watch Gilmore Girls -- why should it be okay to discuss one here and not the other? (And what if Jane moves on midseason? Would we have to close the thread?)

Also, what about actors' projects, like the new Eliza Dushku series? Okay to discuss, or no?

Depending on the US and Canadian broadcast schedules for Angel (may it air forever, or at least a couple of more seasons), we might be able to close Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness, too.

Trying again. Up for closure/merger into one general Buffy thread are:

  • Spoilage Lite: Buffy
  • Buffy NAFDA
  • Previously

Also potentially on that list are:

  • Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness (depending on A:ts scheduling)
  • Quotable Buffy

QUESTION: Do Un-Am's want to keep the Firefly spoilers thread? It seems to me they could use the NAFDA thread when they want to discuss spoilers. Do NAFDA types need it until the DVDs come out, to discuss unaired episodes?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Eh. I don't especially want a general TV thread, but I'm not crazy about the diea of having a "we can have threads for TV shows if ME people work on them or there's HoYay! involved" policy.

I don't know, some of those threads were grandfathered in, from back in the days of WX. We haven't had a new thread for, say, Fastlane or Stargate, just because they have a lot of watchers (well, Stargate does) and a lot of HoYay!--they're just discussed in the DS:MFA thread, where the excess HoYay! from Smallville spilled over.

I think that it does make sense, with the MEverse winding down, and many of us very writer fixated, to have a thread to track those writers, and what they're up to.

I think we were (generally) not in favor of a Gen'l TV thread, but did decide to look at the topic in general and ME in particular, when Buffy came to a close. ME and co are a big part of our community identity. I can't imagine us not taking a strong interest in shows by ME, and/or former ME writers.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

t incredible bias Anti-prolif as I am, I'm not averse to Wonder Falls having its own thread. He's not just a grad, he's a poster. t /incredible bias

Of course, if I had any intention of watching any of the other shows, I might have a different opinion, so consider this my disclaimer.

Speaking of closure, although it's fun to play in I think it's time the Firefly Spoiler thread was closed. IJS.

Also, I think a general Post Graduate thread is a good idea, and if one show seems to be dominating or what-not it can always get spun-off at a later date.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

"Previously, on Buffy" to me is specifically to discuss repeats (especially with our UnAmerican Friends) and it was creted to keep stuff out of the regular Buffy thread. I think we only need one thread (unless we need to keep lite for any spin-off info?), but I would [prefer it not be called "Previously" becuase it makes me sad.

I don't think the Canadians should lose their thread, as they also use it for personal discussions and planning.

Three shows haven't aired yet, and they'll be available in the UK before the US, so spoilers are a very real part of the future.
