Don't worry, we're sure to spot Faith first. She's like this cleavagy slut-bomb walking around 'Ooh, check me out, I'm wicked-cool, I'm five-by-five.'

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Can we get an apology from FBC for cancelling Firefly? I'm still suffering over here.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Can I get a retroactive apology for Dad? Please?

Files and Records can deliver it to me, nekkid.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

I tend to use the term subhuman mainly to describe my brother, and also a couple of bands.

I don't have any more negative crap attached to it than I do to, say, dumbfuck, dipshit, asswipe, or fartknocker.

Ah. Herein lies the disconnect. For me, the term takes me back to various primary source material I read for one class or another re: white views of African slaves, English views of the Irish around the time of the Famine, etc.

I had the same problem in Natter the other day, with the word "schmoopy." Seriously.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think Tim should retroactively apologize for the numerous layers of clothing Gunn is always wearing.

and show he's really sorry by never making Gunn wear a shirt again.

I want an apology request thread.

Thread proliferation! Thread proliferation!

Hey, someone had to do it.

And you know, we were making a joke at dinner the other night that for the series finale, we should do an ad "from the writers" apologizing for these things. Many of the ones mentioned above were discussed.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Ah. Herein lies the disconnect

Yup. When I say subhuman, I think of those things that lived in the sewers in C.H.U.D.

I'm not kidding.

It's like "trolls" which is also "subhuman" you just stopped thinking about it.

When we call someone a troll, we are saying they are worthless to the community. That's the connotation.

Oh man. I want Tim to apologize for Liam. And William. And Billy. And Billy. And William. And most especially for The Night of a Thousand Liams.

I'd ask for an apology for all of "Normal Again" but, heh, in my world the episode never happened.

"Orwellian" was unfortunate hyperbole.

I also read "subhuman" as hyperbole.

I also also think these are situation where people's individual definitions will differ and they will have various comfort levels. At the end of the day, there are lines in the concrete which no.one.must.cross, but explanations and context is important in determining those.

I'd like a retroactive apology for the Flashback Wigs of Doom. And the Lucky Charms accent.
