"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

To me, 'subhuman' is as offensive as a racial, religious, or orientation-related slur. If I'm alone in that, let me know, and I'll back down and try to reset my PC-o-meter.

So Susan, is this a warn Allyson or not warn her?

Kat iz a bug meenie. Warm hur.

This totally cracked me up. My friend once posted something about bothering her "bug time" and I'm freazing so by all means, WARM ME!

t /Natter

I'd also like a retroactive apology from ME's costuming department for the elmo clothes Willow wore Season 6. Very Tramautic.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I want a retroactive apology from everyone who mocked NSYNC's Bee Gees Grammy tribute.

Dude, I didn't even see it, and I still want to mock it. Can I, if I apologize first?

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Actually, Allyson's breech of community standards has been pointed out to her (both at the time of the offence and during this discussion) and she has agreed to moderate her behaviour in future.

In affect a warning, as this board seem to consider the process, has been unofficially given, Allyson has discussed it and agreed to abide by the group consensus.

At this point you're just trying to moderate her thoughts, beliefs and opinions.

Bears repeating.

In other news, I want a retroactive apology from everyone who mocked NSYNC's Bee Gees Grammy tribute.

Huh. I *didn't* mock it in the past, but I will now...

Y'all suck.

And no, if you apologize before you mock, I'm going to know you're not sincere. Therefore, I ain't accepting your stinking apology.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

So Susan, is this a warn Allyson or not warn her?

Neither at this point--I'm trying to figure out if it's just me that has that reaction to the term in question. It's entirely possible I'm overreacting to it because of my own connections and associations that not everyone necessarily has.

No, Susan. I was offended too. Didn't say it in thread, but did in backchannel to Allyson.

And for Riley. Let't not forget about Riley.

Cool. One less lie thing to worry about.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

but when the word Orwellian was brought up... that's when it became an attack.

"Orwellian" was unfortunate hyperbole. I am afraid of this board becoming overly concerned with the quality (well, lack thereof) of peoples posts. I'd rather read interesting posts too, but does inane = invalid? That is what I was talking about. I felt, that since the "gay" and "christian" incidents were some time ago that the ill feelings that had snowballed since that time are based more on Zoe being annoying and/or incoherent than any aggressive act. I summed that general mood up with the "O" word. It was unfortunate and not intended as an attack on you or any other individual.
