Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!
We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!
Congratulations!
Wow. How happy am I that I checked Buffistas for the first time in ages last night? Congrats to Kristin and ND!!
Congratulations!!!!
Oh, you guys! ND! Kristin!
What a wonderful lovely proposal! What an incredibly sweet and *fun* way to share this beautiful thing with the very thing that made it all possible to begin with. And it even includes so many things that are the very core of this community, what with the bureaucracy and the Seconds and the very meaning of the word "proposal" and the Watch-and-Post and the sheer joy and togetherness of that joy, from everybody's responses, and great, now I'm in tears again, and it's difficult to type this way so I'll shut my keyboard up and just go re-read again these wonderful posts and be so so very happy for you and happy for myself for knowing you.
Congratulations, Drew and Kristin! With all the very best wishes in the world (from all over the world!), and then some. I'm so very happy for the both of you.
In another iteration of "the very core of the community", I can't think of a better note on which to close lightbulbs than Nilly's post.
VOTE TOTALS: YES: 1. NO: 0. The proposal passes.
I want to make a month-long thread to encourage people to delurk, even if it's only the once, and to encourage people to put their locations in their profiles so that our map is nice and peopled. Just to get people to raise their hands.
With the note that you can be as vague as putting in your country, or as precise as putting in your address--whatever you're comfortable with. The map will handle cities, zip codes, states, maybe provinces and the like. Don't want to make anyone feel we're prying.
Still love it!
Woo! I like David's suggestion of a once a year delurkathon.
That's a good idea. We can open it once a year.
