Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

EW.com calls Cupid a comedy and Kings a drama, for what that's worth...

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I think an agreement of what would fit in Boxed set is necessary. I would have never put Kings, Pushing Daisies or Chuck in there.

I think PD totally belongs in Boxed Set, but as for the others a Network Drama thread would speak to that need nicely.

I think this speaks pretty clearly to one major fact: people are looking for reasons to get discussion out of Natter.

Sorry to nit pick, but since I'm quoted above I feel the need to clarify that I have no desire to shift tv talk out of Natter, I was just commenting that others seem to hence it comes up for discussion about twice a year or so. I also don't mind that shows like Kings or Chuck wind up in Boxed Set. I like Boxed Set, even though I don't watch everything discussed in there (like, um, Chuck, hence no idea he had a computer in his brain or whatev).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So far imdb allows for multiple genres, futoncritic doesn't have anything sff-like, and ew lists multiple genres too. So not ending many arguments.

Not that I think a third party is any better than us.

Having a nutty religion doesn't make the show SF.

If he is Cupid is it sff? It doesn't seem as much like having a religion when you're one of the deities.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

And yeah, as Jessica said, he believes he's Cupid. Having a nutty religion doesn't make the show SF.

There's at least some indication that he actually is Cupid.

I recently caught up on about a year's worth of Boxed Set and Procedurals. Those threads are definitely working for me. If all those conversations had taken place in Natter, I would have missed them completely.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Sorry to nit pick, but since I'm quoted above I feel the need to clarify that I have no desire to shift tv talk out of Natter,

Oh, I'm sorry! I did not mean to misrepresent you.

Even though I don't watch Cupid, the first place my mind goes to with the name is mythology, not religion. And mythology slots straight into SFF for me. The same with AU stories. If you want to read Harry Turtledove AU stories, you find them in the SFF section of the bookstore.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I guess I don't see the problem with either asking or starting a discussion where you stand. Are we judging each other that harshly.

How many lurkers are there? I don't think it's a judging thing. Just a convenience thing.

omnis has a good point. I didn't think about the lurkers.

t waves to lurkers

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Omnis, does Discussions of sci-fi/fantasy shows we watch not clarify the etc for you?

I mean, the lurkers can read that too.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I didn't think about the lurkers.

Lurkers, this is your cue to support her in e-mail.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ha. Evidently our lurkers just work up incredibly cool css.

Yeah, I guess I'm looking at the long term and trying to see what kind of reorg would be sustainable. I still think it's viable to plan for lifecycle management for threads from the beginning, so it's less personal if we do need to close some at some point.
