We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

If I were the two of you, I would just take it to Bitches. It is a place where conversing occurs.
It is a place where conversing occurs.
Simply put. For my part I wasn't suggesting a repurposing of a thread for a gaming thread--that's a test game thread. I was suggesting explicitly starting gaming conversations when you're "around" other gamers, and see if that can work under various volume/posting style boundaries. If it cannot be, then the vote to me is a different one.
I don't think P-C was advocating dropping the idea of a gaming thread and just talking in Bitches all the time. I think he was saying "Hey, MM, ND...take your particular conversation that you are having right this second and move it OUT of Lightbulbs for the nonce. I suggest Bitches at this particular moment in time."
I may be wrong.
That is indeed what I was saying.
But I also think it would not be a bad idea, now that the ball is rolling, to attempt to start gaming conversation where and when it suits your fancy and see what happens. As an experiment.
I intend to talk about gaming wherever, yes. I will do this because there is no gaming thread. I do not expect my conversing about gaming despite the lack of a gaming thread to deter me from wanting one.

That's not in response to me, is it? I should probably have put a paragraph break after that first sentence. Two thoughts, and the second one not commenting on PC at all.

Yes, it was. But now I can see where the breakdown in communication occurred.
Let's see...since you've stated your position before, and I've stated mine before...wanna call a do-over, ita?
I think if we compare the interest base (in terms of Buffistas and in terms of products to discuss) for graphic media to the base for games, we'd see close to parity.
I'm just caught up, and while it's no skin off my nose if we start a gaming thread, if the expected participants are likely already to be reading and participating in Other Media, what's the harm in seeing if OM will sustain the conversation?
See, wouldn't you rather this stuff lived in a thread where it wouldn't bother nice, innocent folks?
I thought this was kind of nice and mellow and enjoyed it thoroughly. In fact, although I'm not as proliferationist as some, I'm pro most proposed threads, and this made me kinda want to vote against the gaming thread just so I could see more. Then, I realized that I'm so behind on everything that the only place I would actually see it would probably be in a gaming thread, and I changed my mind again. I can be so fickle.
