Have you expressed this sentiment before, and I just missed it?
Well, I'm not running around trying to harsh everyone's mellow about it. But it's a pretty consistent loss that I feel, and I'm still mad about how the whole thing went down.
That still counts as not revisiting, right? I just want to make sure that silence isn't taken as assent.
Of course. I think that happens in real life too, when you're in a big large group. You talk to the people you know.
I talk to the people who mention penguins. I have simple needs. And four penguin-themed board games. WON'T SOMEBODY THINK OF THE PENGUINS?!? Um. Other than me.

By me, yeah, if that's what you meant. I only meant that I don't want to spend
this
discussion period on rehashing the SPN discussion, because I'd rather focus on the proposed new thread or non-thread -- but apologies to anyone who thought I was trying to shut anything down.

Absolutely. Or, what amych said.
And what Juliana said. mainly I don't see the point of going there in this discussion.
I just want to make sure that silence isn't taken as assent.
That's a good thing. I am all for this.
That still counts as not revisiting, right?
Maybe we should revisit this topic, elsewhere, and possibly at some other time. Maybe in Boxed Set?
Which way do I have to vote to find out what four penguin-themed board games billytea has?
billytea, I thought of you
and
penguins today since they were on the cover of one of my competitor's film books that I received today.
I generally don't agree with the anti-proliferation stance, but I usually get where it's coming from when you are talking about removing a conversation from a current thread. But this isn't doing that. So I'm sort of at a loss to understand the logic. Not that there has to be logic I guess. But I wish I better understood the arguments against creating this thread.
megan, does it help any I explain that it isn't this thread in particular so much as the precedent its creation would set?
And I am still not sure why the conversation can't just happen as things stand. I mean, the baseball lovers talk about their geeky passion anywhere and any old time, and that to me is closer to talking games than cooking is.
