Our wings are not tired.

It is unlikely I would be a participant, but I will happily be part of the quorum for y'all. Sounds like a good plan.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

I'll just ignore all the scary RPG talk.

It's not the talk that's scary.

It's the players.

I'm also a big lover of board games, so I'll be in there going both ways.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Is that one-a them newfangled Vee Dee Oh Game thingamajiggers you youngsters are always fartin' about with?

No, it's a hilarious TV SHOW about them!

mmmmm...Morgan Webb.

Exactly.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I'm not sure I see why there's a serious need for a game thread. I don't really count "I'd like to talk X, Y, and Z with people X, Y, and Z!" as a strike for it, because that way leads to increased threadsprawl and more niche threads for underwater basket weaving or what have you. And I'm against threadsprawl in the first place, as it does feel like our increased sprawl has impacted the feel of community in a negative sense.

Which is argument 367 in the Where Do We Go From Here conversation, I know.

Ultimately I think those of us who want a gaming thread would really enjoy it, but I suspect that most of us are not so attached to the idea that if it doesn't happen we'll be HARTBORKEN 4EVAH.

So, it's game porn, then.

Well, a few people have stated, myself included, that such talk tends not to have a place where it can comfortably happen and often gets lost in the noise of the closest approximation of a related thread, i.e. Other Media. Other Media seems to be a "I'd like to talk X, Y and Z with people X, Y and Z" thread, so...

Which is, I believe, Variant D of Response 367 in the Where Do We Go From Here discussion.

Yeah, I mean, I won't die and I don't wanna get all het up about it. I think it'd be awesome if we could take this opportunity to proclaim the Where Do We Go From Here discussion as having been addressed so as to avoid the tiring rehashing of it.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm with Plei. (Go on, act surprised!)

OTOH, since there doesn't seem to be any gaming discussion currently happening, at least a gaming thread wouldn't be leeching good conversation from a currently active thread. Eh, whatever. I have no investment in this one way or another and am going to do my best to pretend Lightbulbs doesn't exist until this goes to a vote.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Agreed.
