Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

This board, as much as I love it, probably isn't suitable for actual play, as the games would all be intermingled in the thread, unless we created a new thread for each game, and nobody wants that.

I'd agree -- it's kind of a necessary condition of a game that people actually be aware that they're playing a game, which is why play-by-post tends to be a little more structured (at least to the extent of having a place set aside for that specific game. I see this as more of a general talk about whatever games you're into discussion thread. Akin to literary, music, movies...

Which is why (really weirdly, for me) I'm for it. Yes, the world can end any time now.

Also, ps3 roolz. xbox droolz.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Yeah Play By Post (PBP) wouldn't work, but I think that's a self-solving problem. Any gamer would only have to go through about a half hour of:

"I rolled a 12."

"I like Mutants and Masterminds, but not its so-called 'magic system'."

"I use House Rule X."

"I play a half-orc with a third eye."

"You hit the dragon. Roll damage."

"GURPS is da bomb, yo."

"GURPS is for slack-headed freaks. D&D roolz."

"Shadowrun. IJS."

"I got it for six hit points."

"GM tips anyone?"

"Dude, I said roll for damage."

"Anyone play Tunnels & Trolls?"

"I did, I hit it for six."

"Star Wars RPG: Sucks or not?"

"Let's go to another board."

Remember, remember/the fifth of November/the Gunpowder Treason and Plot/I see no reason/Why Gunpowder Treason/Should ever be forgot.

Since this came up while I am working on my Free RPG Day offering before it goes off the printer, I guess you can suspect where I fall in this discussion...

Our wings are not tired

I'm up for this thread. I think it might also be a good gathering point for arranging some games though Fantasy Grounds.

Yeah, that too, ND.

Actually it sounds like our biggest worry for getting the thread to pass is meeting the quorum. But that's still a few days away.

How many do we need for a quorum?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

You need 42 people to vote.
