Offtopic to Jesse: The Wire on BET was severely cut during S2. Rent the DVDs!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I noticed that about S2, but S3 was bumped back up -- broadcasting in an hour and a half, instead of just one hour. No wonder I could never figure out what the fuck was going on. I think I need a DVD player, but that just leads to Netflix and craziness.

What is even happening?

I'd really rather the comedy thread wasn't a catch-all. People like to know what they're going to get spoiled for when they go in a thread.

I don't understand why we're making the procedural bucket so big. It seems to me that an awful lot of people thought the experimental bucket threads were too big. Maybe the three or four biggest procedurals that Buffistas watch and are afraid of getting spoiled for (per brenda's poll) might make a better bucket thread -- than all procedurals.

What do you mean by a catch-all?

You mean that you don't want which comedies in this thread? There really are only a couple that get any sort of conversation at all: HIMYM and the Office. Possibly some of the Fox cartoons. And TDS and the Colbert Report. That's maybe 6 or 7 things.

Sweet. They caught the re-up.

I've given up on this issue. I figure I'll just vote no and see how things fall out.

I don't think it's big. ::shrug:: It's a subset of the larger television discussion. Seems to me that's filtering it down.

I agree with sumi.

SA, I think the concern is that current discussion is white-fonted in Natter (or other threads), so there's no risk of spoilage, no matter how many shows are being discussed. The problem with having a big bucket is that we would be moving discussion of each show into a venue that either isn't whitefonted or is only whitefonted for a short period of time, so it's "big" because you have to be caught up on all of the shows you want to watch before you can go into the thread to talk about one without fear.

I'm personally less concerned about being spoiled for procedurals than I am for many other shows, but I just wanted to clarify why some see the bucket is "bigger" even though it is filtered down from general TV-talk.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Well, how big is this bucket? I see Bones and House as being fairly strong draws. WAT and Cold Case probaby a step down from those. The CSI/L&Os I think seem to be more "hey, so-and-so's guest-starring" than actual discussion. What else? Oh, Numbers, I'd guess, might be up there with Bones and House, or close.

Other shows I'm missing? Because so far, that doesn't sound like it would be too much to keep up with or be spoiler-avoidy.
