Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Thank you Connie, for agreeing to this, and I think going with the date you picked is right and fitting, at least to me.

I don't think the break was so people would change their minds. Just a breather so moods wouldn't be as raw. Anything constructive the decision would bring about will be better if people aren't still stinging about the last similar-but-not-similar vote.

Like SA, I will just point upwards.

brillig

defintely the place to have a "where do we go from here" discussion

Can there be singing?

Sorry, I always go to a OMWF place at the phrase "where do we go from here" anymore.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Sorry, I always go to a OMWF place at the phrase "where do we go from here" anymore

That's at least partly why I use that phrase when "future of the board" discussions come up. Call me a traditionalist.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

And soon there'll be kissing. Awesome.

I'm all for breaks and discussions.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Sorry, I misinterpreted myself for a poll--at first I was thinking a poll to decide how long to table discussion, with added parts for when discussion is re-opened, how long it should take place, but it should have only been the second part but not the first. Either way August 11 is fine with me, though I do think there out to be a poll to set parameters of the upcoming discussion.

Now I feel like I'm chasing my own tail. I would imagine it's far cuter when Ruthven does it.

Our wings are not tired.

Forgive the Natter to note that SA's tail is quite cute.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

This discussion has been tabled until August 11th, per the proposer's request. This thread is now closing.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

The previous proposal is now resuming, as of August 11th.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So connie, I know you're keen on pushing ahead with the vote but I'm just going to ask that you hold off until we get the poll results.

My vote will depend on what we glean from the poll.

I ask in part because I think it would suck to have to put this question off for six months if we find out that there's a strong majority of people who just want to create single show threads.
