Most people is pretty quiet right about now. Me, I see a stiff -- one I didn't have to kill myself -- I just get, the urge to, you know, do stuff. Like work out, run around, maybe get some trim if there's a willin' woman about... not that I get flush from corpses or anything. I ain't crazy.

Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

There's going to be a slight delay in starting the vote while I try to figure out why the emailing function no longer works...

Well, I guess we know where the upgrade stands on thread proliferation.

So, I guess there's been no luck with the email function?

No. I was just about to post in BBaBB.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

The Press announcement is up:

Voting Has Begun!

And with that, I close this thread.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Proposal from brenda m:

brenda m "Bureaucracy 3: Oh, so now you want to be part of the SOLUTION?" Jun 17, 2007 6:57:48 am PDT

Assuming we do come to the proposal point, I'd like to see something with more options than straight up or down. Something like:

Pt. 1: Do you want dedicated threadspace for (non-premium) cable television?

Pt. 2: Do you want this to be a separate thread or a combined thread with the current Premium Cable?

Pt. 3: If a separate thread wins, whitefont yadda yadda.

In fact, the hell with it. Consider that my proposal.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I found myself a frequent participant in the non-premium thread, and was pleased to find discussion about several series that I hadn't found a place to yap about before, so I'm for this.

Especially at this time of year, since both Rescue Me and The Closer are starting their summer seasons.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

For this, either way it goes. I'd like it to be with premium, because it makes sense to me, and because I don't think cable had a high enough posting volume to justify a new thread about similar topics. But I'll be happy with anything.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

The cable thread had a couple of issues. I think the whitefont may have hindered things. The fact that several of what I think are the most watched shows were on hiatus is obviously another problem. So it is a little tough to gauge.

So what all are the shows that would fall in this thread? The Closer and Rescue Me, Dead Zone, Psych, Monk. One of the L&Os? What else? I'm just trying to get a feel for what's out there in the potential threadverse.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Hmm... the proposal as written is "cable television", but the previous discussion and experimental thread were cable drama. Did you mean it to be drama, or all genres on cable (yours to amend, of course, but it'll definitely affect my vote as a fan of genre buckets and a barely grumbling accepter of divisions the other way...)?
